Established in 1975, Ikebe Musical Instruments Store is one of Japan’s largest general musical instruments store. With a long history and proven track record, it has earned the trust of musicians and music fans not only in Japan but all over the world.
■Product lineup unique to a specialty store
It features a wide range of products, including new, used, and vintage instruments, electric guitars, acoustic guitars, electric basses, acoustic basses, ukuleles, drums, synthesizers, digital pianos, wind instruments, accordions, DJ equipment, recording equipment, audio equipment, music-related software, sheet music, music-related books, and many more.
■We also have a large selection of used instruments
Each store has a large selection of used instruments, including electric guitars, basses, acoustic guitars, and effects pedals. We also operate a used instrument specialty store, “IKESHIBU Reuse,” in each area. We also have Japan-exclusive models and rare instruments, so don’t miss out.
■About our stores
We have 31 stores in Tokyo (Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Akihabara) and Osaka.
In Shibuya, Tokyo, we have opened the flagship store “IKESHIBU (IKEBE SHIBUYA)” that brings together a number of musical instrument specialty stores and acts as a base for entertainment culture.
Live events are also held in the event space on the first floor, so please stop by when you visit Japan.
■Shipping overseas from the Online Store
The Ikebe MUSIC ONLINE STORE accepts orders from customers overseas. We cannot accept purchases of products that are prohibited from being shipped overseas due to contracts with suppliers. If you are interested in any products, please contact us first.

How to order from the Online Store
Please note that Online orders are not eligible for tax exemption.
We have not only a lot of new products but also have a huge stock of wide variety of second-hand and vintage products. For example, Ikebe Musical Instruments store limited edition models, Japan limited edition models, discontinued models, and one-of-a-kind products loved by professionals are all inspected, cleaned, and serviced by our expert staff.
We cannot accept orders for products that cannot be shipped overseas or the products prohibited to be not shipped to overseas by agreements with our suppliers/brands.

[Non-residents with Japanese nationality]
You will need to provide proof that you have been residing outside of Japan for more than two consecutive years1. A “Certificate of Residence2″ or “Copy of Family Register*3” (both originals) issued within six months of the date of your last entry into Japan.
The residence certificate must include the date on which the address (or residence) was established and the address number of the registered domicile.
The copy of the family register attachment must include the “land number of the registered domicile.
Duty-free items and amounts
Tax-free amount: ¥5,000 or more (excluding tax)

Tax-free procedure
All stores offer tax-free shopping, so please feel free to ask the store staff for advice.
[Notes]
The packaged products will no longer be eligible for tax exemption if they are opened even once in Japan.
Please do not open the package until you have left Japan.
If the product has been opened or consumed even once, it may be taxed at the airport customs upon departure.
If general goods are packaged so that they cannot be used in Japan, they can be included in the calculation of expenses for consumables. In this case, the same requirements apply as for consumables.
