Fender社が用意している販売店向けe-ラーニングプラットフォーム『Fender Academy』に、ゴールド認定を受けたイケベスタッフのコラムが掲載！

2021年6月に国内の販売店向けに案内された「Fender Academy」は、Fenderブランドを販売するにあたって必要な知識を学べる「e-ラーニングプラットフォーム」プログラム。
Fender社が定めた一定水準の製品知識を身に付けることでゴールド認定を取得することができ、今回、ゴールド認定を受けたロックハウスイケベ池袋店ギターフロアスタッフの西岡が「Profile In Gold」コラムに掲載されました。コラムの内容は、プログラムに登録しているグローバルの販売スタッフに向け配信されており、残念ながら一般公開されておりません。

For our latest Profile In Gold edition, we extend a big Fender Academy welcome to Takahiro Nishioka from Rock House Ikebe Ikebukuro in Tokyo Japan! We asked him what inspired him to go gold on Fender Academy…

“With the help of the simple goals on Fender Academy, I found truly interesting and informative content that was completely new to me. Consequently, the depth of my sales expertise has been taken to a whole new level. I frequently revisit lessons to brush up my skills – and it is rewarding to gain IQ points! As long as Fender Academy exists, I will continue taking the tests!“

Takahiro has an affinity for the Fender Custom Shop. Rock House carries lots of Custom Shop instruments, many ordered by Takahiro himself.

“I enjoy the environment where I can purchase and sell musical instruments that I think are great. I also enjoy ordering Custom Shop products with specifications based on my own ideas and see delighted customers purchasing them. Custom Shop guitars and basses are no doubt the best, and the Custom Shop is always willing to help us with our requests. “

How did your musical journey begin?

“My first encounter with music was through listening to Japanese SFX movie and animation theme songs that I watched as a child. My family also loved music, and we even had a karaoke machine at home.

My father owned an acoustic guitar, and a friend of mine asked me why I didn’t play the guitar when he came over to my house. His words were what got me playing the guitar. I play acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and a little bit of bass and drums.

My first influence was The Ventures, but it was Eric Clapton’s “Unplugged” that really got me practicing.”

“Before working in music retail, I had studied guitar craft for three years. I decided to aim for the Gold Certification to improve my knowledge and skills to sell Fender products. As I progressed through the lessons, I found myself enjoying the content more and more. Not only am I a big Fender fan, I also have strong motivation to want to learn everything about guitars!”

ギタークラフト専門学校を卒業と同時に渋谷店(現グランディ＆ジャングル)に勤務。2017年9月よりロックハウスイケベ池袋店に異動。
楽器販売スタッフとなるまではHR/HMに特化したブランドを好んで所有。それまで避けていたフェンダーに触れる機会が得られたことで、今ではFenderCustomShopをメインで使用するほどに。尊敬するギタリストは春畑道哉氏。
所有ギターのメンテナンスや改造を好み、一日中ギターをいじっていたら弾く時間が無くなったこともしばしば…(笑)
